Carrot Horse Treats

Introduce yourself to your equine clients with these tasty treats!

Ingredients
– 2 cups matchstick carrots (about 4 large carrots)
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 1/4 cup molasses
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup oats
– 1 cup whole wheat flour
– 1/2 cup water
– optional: 1/2 cup of your horse’s feed or a sweet feed, bran, or flax

1. Preheat the oven to 350. In a large bowl mix together the carrots, oil, and molasses until combined.DSC04515

2. Add the salt, oats, flour, and optional feed and stir until it’s combined. It will be a sticky, dough-like consistency.DSC04518

3. Form into small 1″ size balls with your hands or use a small metal scoop. Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.DSC04523

4. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden.DSC04533
